Overview
ISO 9001:2015 Transition - The good news is that quality management systems that meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 include most of what they will need for ISO 9001:2015. Even though the deadline is in September 2018, however, it is not too early to begin the transition process. Prerequisites for registration include an internal audit to the requirements of the new standard, and a management review meeting that covers the results of the audit.
This presentation by expert speaker William A. Levinson, P.E., will cover the major changes to the standard and provide some helpful tools for the transition process. He will cover the basics that are already relatively well-known. He will also shed light on conformity matrix which shows which processes deploy which clauses of the standard, and on the newer ISO standards focus on overall processes, and call specifically for attention to interactions and handoffs between processes of the QMS
Topics Cover- ISO 9001:2015 Transition
• Know the major changes to the standard: actions to address risks and opportunities with regard to (1) context of the organization and (2) needs and expectations of relevant interested parties.
• Know the prerequisites for registration to the new standard: (1) an internal audit to the new standard and (2) a management review of the audit results and the new system.
• Know the value of writing procedures in terms of "Who, what, when, where, how, and why."
• Know how to cross-reference procedures with the standard's requirements in a conformity matrix to show which procedures cover which clauses. (There is no need to rewrite procedures to align with the new structure.)
• Learn how to use a SIPOC (Supplier, Input, Process, Output, Customer) process matrix to illustrate handoffs and interactions of the quality management system in a simple spreadsheet diagram.
