This presentation is designed for those who haven’t worked with Excel spreadsheets before or who haven’t used them in a few years. Excel expert David Ringstrom, CPA, walks you through the basics of Excel spreadsheets, providing the knowledge needed to create functional spreadsheets and manipulate large lists of data.

 

During the webcast, David presents an overview of the different types of files you can create; explains Excel’s rows and columns grid; demonstrates how to remove duplicates from a list; shares keyboard shortcuts that simplify repetitive tasks; shows you how to use free, prebuilt Excel templates to get a jump start on your spreadsheet projects—and much more.

In this series, Excel expert David H. Ringstrom, CPA, introduces you to Excel dashboards. Dashboards empower users to quickly assimilate large amounts of data into spreadsheets by way of pivot tables, charts, and other Excel features. David demonstrates how to: create self-updating links to databases, spreadsheets, text files, and other data sources; use the Recommended PivotTables feature and the Recommended Charts feature, make a single set of data serve multiple purposes, and much more.
David demonstrates every technique at least twice: first, on a PowerPoint slide with numbered steps, and second, in Excel 2016. He draws to your attention any differences in Excel 2013, 2010, or 2007 during the presentation as well as in his detailed handouts. David also provides an Excel workbook that includes most of the examples he uses during the webcast.
